This weekend, two Grand Rapids museums are honoring two influential women--Princess Diana and former First Lady Betty Ford--making the Michigan city a great road trip destination.
Princess Di's exhibit, "Diana: A Celebration," opened Tuesday at the Grand Rapids Art Museum located at 101 Monroe Center, Grand Rapids, Mich.
This new exhibit features 150 artifacts related to her life and work, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. The exhibit will run until Feb. 16, and tickets are reportedly selling like hot cakes.
Former First Lady Betty Ford, who was born in Chicago in 1918, is also being honored in an exhibit at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum located at 303 Pearl St., in Grand Rapids. The Former First Lady is now 92 years old and lives in Rancho Mirage, Calif. After several years of sending the museum boxes of her belongings, they now have her prized possessions on display. The exhibit will run until Feb. 27.
Tickets for the Princess Di exhibit are $20 and can be purchased online. Tickets for the Betty Ford exhibit cost $7 and can be purchased at the museum.
