'Prisoners' Trailer: Hugh Jackman, Viola Davis Lead All-Star Cast In Oscar-Winning Director's New Suspense Film

Hugh Jackman Wants Revenge

A riveting new trailer for "Prisoners," a suspense thriller starring Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Maria Bello, Viola Davis, Terrence Howard, Paul Dano and Melissa Leo, has surfaced online. The film focuses on a father (Jackman) fighting to find his daughter after she goes missing with a friend (the onscreen daughter of Davis and Howard) outside their home on Thanksgiving Day.

"Prisoners," slated for a Sept. 20 release, is directed by Canadian auteur Denis Villeneuve, who typically helms movies in French. Villeneuve's 2010 mystery film "Incendies" won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. "Prisoners" marks writer Aaron Guzikowski's second feature, following last year's "Contraband," starring Mark Wahlberg and Kate Beckinsale. Ironically, Wahlberg was once attached to star in "Prisoners."
