The Problem With 'Everyone' Identifying As Queer

Let’s talk about violence.

It was our date night. Ironically enough, the movie we had seen that night was the Dallas Buyers Club. We did our fair share of laughing (and wincing) alongside many other couples of varying orientations. It was an unusual moment for me and my then-partner; most of our date nights, throughout the entirety of our relationship, would be spent inside our apartment, watching Netflix. Like for many other LGBTQ people, home is the safest venue for us to share each others’ company.
