Project Glass Parody Smashes Windows (VIDEO)

What If Google Glasses Ran Windows?

Last week Google caught the public's eye with Project Glass, an uber-sexy (to tech geeks, anyway) set of frames that's essentially a hands-free smartphone for your face. The search giant's co-founder, Sergey Brin, was even seen sporting a pair in promotion of the yet-to-be-released product.

The glasses were quickly lampooned in several different viral videos, including ones that suggested the product's interface would be clogged with ads, or just plain hard to use.

Today, the backlash continues, adding a new level of (useless?) complexity to the discussion: What if Project Glass ran Windows?

Although this cheeky piece of eye candy ostensibly takes aim at Google's new set of super specs, the real butt of the joke is Microsoft, whose Windows operating system here complicates and fumbles task after low-grade task with design flaws that should be woefully familiar to anyone who has ever used a computer.

Its culminating fail revisits some well-trodden LOLs, but the build up to the punchline is subtly subversive. Check out the Windows user's drab, ground-floor suburban lifestyle compared to the glossy urbanite's view from the loft in Google's original promo. It's doubtful that the downgraded perspective was strictly a matter of budget.
