'Prometheus' International Trailer: Third Verse, More Detailed Than The First

WATCH: Third 'Prometheus' Trailer Reveals Even More

The "Prometheus" international trailer arrived online over the weekend, bringing with it an extended look at Ridley Scott's coming blockbuster.

Curious as to what Charlize Theron is doing in the "Alien" non-prequel prequel? Wondering if the Space Jockeys are involved? Or if "Prometheus" will get a possible audience-limiting R-rating? This is the clip for you!

About that last one: judging from a part in the international trailer that shows some poor soul's space helmet caving in and melting, "Prometheus" might be closer to an R-rating than you initially thought. Scott has been pushing for a PG-13 rating, saying recently that "Prometheus" needed a certification which would "allow it to make as much money as possible." Scott also said it was "f--king ludicrous" that certain films had received PG-13 ratings this year from the Motion Picture Association of America.

Of course, even if the MPAA gives "Prometheus" an R-rating, the film won't be changed. “I can assure the fans -- I’m very aware of their concern -- absolutely they can take it that the film will not be compromised either way," Twentieth Century Fox CEO Tom Rothman said at CinemaCon last week. "So if that means that the film is R, then it’ll be an R. If it’s PG-13, then it’ll be a PG-13, but it will not be compromised." Fox is releasing "Prometheus" theatrically.

Back to the new trailer: holy spoilers, facehugger fans! Be warned that the new trailer gives away a lot of possibly big plot points and seems to focus largely on the film's third act. Considering the ubiquitous marketing campaign for "Prometheus," do you really need to watch another trailer to convince yourself to see this one on June 8? If so, check out the new clip above.
