Protesters Take Over Minneapolis Press Conference

Immediately following the ouster of Minneapolis Police Chief Janee Harteau on Friday, John Thompson, a friend of Philando Castile -- who was shot and killed by police in Minnesota in 2016 -- spoke out against her, and also called for the mayor's ouster following the shooting of Justine Damond on July 15. Thompson pushed into City Hall with other protesters as Mayor Hodges was escorted out.
