Pushpin Jesus: Artist Rob Surette Creates Jesus Portrait With 24,790 Thumbtacks (PHOTOS)

LOOK: Jesus Made Out Of Push Pins

Up close, this work of art may seem like an ambiguous blob, but take a step back and you might just have a divine vision.

Self-described "artistic superstar" Rob Surette used 24,790 colored thumbtacks to create his pushpin portrait of Jesus.

Working one hour a day, seven days a week, Surette took six months to complete the 22-square foot mural, according to Oddity Central. The white, black, red, yellow, green, blue, magenta and purple pushpins blend together to create a vivid portrait of Jesus.

No stranger to the pointillism form, the 40-year-old artist also holds the record for the world's largest Lite-Brite creation, built from 513,000 tiny plastic light filters, the North Andover Patch reported in July 2011.

The portrait is valued at $250,000.
