In the eternal words of Ferris Bueller, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop [and put your phone down] once in a while, you could miss it."

If you've been in literally any public space in the past five years, you know we're all guilty of favoring the slick digital world over the physical one. While you can't swipe your surroundings left or right, you can take the time to linger in the moment, and appreciate the vastness of our world. Give your brain the time it needs to get creative, discover, and wonder. You never know, it may make your next Insta post that much more woke.

In the video below, Karenza from greengrassvids encourages you to consider how often you look at your phone in a day. You'll be surprised at the number of times you feel the need to touch that screen. Rather than reaching for your phone the next time you're "bored", just don't. Do something else instead - look out the window, talk to a real live human being, or ponder the meaning of existence.

Just put your phone down. Enjoy the non-digital world because it's pretty fucking spectacular.
