Question: What happens when you get one of fashion's larger-than-life editors and the cutest actress in all of Hollywood into one room?
Answer: Pure unadulterated ADORABLE!
This past weekend fashion aficionado Andre Leon Talley caught up with the amazing Quvenzhané Wallis, who just became the youngest Oscar nominee for best actress, to chit chat about fashion, music and more for his "Mondays With Andre" video series on Vogue.com. What transpires over the short two-minute video is nothing short of awesome.
Andre asks the 9-year-old star if she loves fashion, of course, to which she answers an enthusiastic "yeah" and follows it up by singing the title line of "Fashion Is My Kryptonite," a super-catchy, teenybopper song by Bella Thorne & Zendaya. Now we know what she'll be jamming to as she gets ready for her big night at the Oscars.
And speaking of The Oscars, we can't wait to see what the little lady steps out in! While she reveals to Andre that her favorite color is pink, Quvenzhané is keeping us in suspense as to what color she'll actually be wearing to the Academy Awards. One things for sure -- she's staying away from long dresses. "I might step on it, or trip on it and I don't want to humiliate myself," Quvenzhané told Andre.
This gal is savvy (short dress = fashion-fail-free night) and smart (we definitely weren't using the word "humiliate" in sentences at 9-years-old)!
Whatever Quvenzhané decides to wear, we're sure she'll be the belle of the ball. The tiny talent already showed off her style skills last week at the Critics' Choice Awards in a sparkly purple number and pink puppy purse.
Just when you think she can't get anymore adorable, the video wraps with Quvenzhané busting a move to Rihanna's "We Found Love" and singing Frank Ocean. Not bad for her first Vogue interview!
