Rachael Ray Angry Over 'Good Housekeeping' Cover

Rachael Ray is upset with Good Housekeeping magazine for featuring her on its July 2010 cover, the New York Post's Page Six reports.

Ray, who publishes her own magazine, Every Day with Rachael Ray, did not sit for an interview or photoshoot with the Hearst publication. Instead, the magazine is using quotes from previous interviews and photo outtakes from a February 2008 cover shoot for Ray's own magazine, shot by photographer Jim Wright.

"We are disappointed that a respected publication such as Good Housekeeping is essentially using, without permission, Rachael's image, words and thoughts in an attempt to sell a few more magazines," an Every Day spokesman told Page Six.

"The photo expresses her personality, and we hope the story gives readers a snapshot of her busy life, career and passion for entertaining," a Good Housekeeping rep responded.

"We regularly report on personalities our readers love and admire, and Rachael Ray is one of them," a Good Housekeeping rep said in a statement to Huffington Post. "She gave us great quotes for our recent anniversary, some of which are included in this profile."

The cover hits newsstands Tuesday.
