We first fell in love with the English actress when she played the doe-eyed Egyptologist in the blockbuster hit The Mummy. Soon after this breakout performance, she dazzled us with films such as The Constant Gardener, where she showcased the sultry sophistication we've come to identify with her today. Needless to say, Rachel Weisz has an acute sensitivity to The Shape of Things (no pun intended), which is why we weren't surprised to learn that she has an eye for interior design.
To celebrate her birthday, we're featuring a timeless photograph of the beauty in a luxurious home. Weisz graced the cover of Vogue Living in 2008 in her "perfect room," a regal space that's a direct reflection of her refined sense of style. Centered by a gold Victorian sofa, the room is accented by walls dressed in lavender grasscloth wallpaper, a large, diamond patterned area rug and an oversized gilded mirror. Completed with an antique chandelier suspended overhead, this royal room is exactly the kind of space we imagine Weisz lounging at home in... in her purple Vera Wang gown, of course. If you'd like to achieve a similar look in your own abode, we've compiled a list of comparable items below.
1) Baroque Gold Gild Mirror, 2.) Antique Cream Five Light Chandelier, 3) Mauve Floral Decorative Pillow Cover, 4) Geometric Plum Purple Moroccan Pillow, 5) Silk Dupion Pillow Sham Cover Embellished With Sequins, 6) Ivory Moroccan Shag Rug, 7) Old Hickory Tannery "Fenway" Tufted Leather Sofa, 8) Metallic Grasscloth Wallpaper
