A Brooklyn coffee shop called The End is boldly going where no barista has gone before. The Williamsburg hot spot recently debuted a rainbow unicorn latte that is simply magical. Best of all? The beverage promotes healing and wellness.
You may be disappointed to learn that this “latte” has no actual coffee in it. Instead, the beverage is whipped up with ginger, honey, coconut milk and lemon. The latte gets its blue hue from live blue-green algae, a source of protein, iron and B vitamins. People use blue-green algae to boost their immune system and improve bowel health, but its effects are still being researched.
Finally, no unicorn latte would be complete without a smattering of rainbow sprinkles.
The unicorn latte is one of five “healing lattes” The End offers.
“It is quickly becoming the antidote to the mid-afternoon brain fog for our customers,” The End told Mashable. “We want you to fly high and this drink helps you do so.”
If you’re looking to step up your unicorn game, grab these lattes while they’re hot. The photogenic beverage is already bubbling up on Instagram, so you have a short window before the line starts winding around the block.
But if you aren’t able to make it to Brooklyn, feel free to admire The End’s work from afar. Take a gander at these beauties below.
