A "Rambo" TV show is in the works, and Sylvester Stallone just might be involved.

Entertainment One, Nu Image and Avi Lerner are working on the TV series based on the '80s action movie franchise. Stallone is in talks to be involved with the project on a "creative level" and to possibly reprise the role of Rambo. No broadcast network has been announced.

UPDATE 8/22: Stallone's rep told The Hollywood Reporter that the actor will not reprise the role of John Rambo in the upcoming TV series.

"I'm happy to be partnering with a prolific company like Entertainment One who has a track record of creating high quality programming for their broadcast partners around the world," Lerner said in a statement. "And I'm excited by the prospect of collaborating again with my good friend Sly for an encore in this next phase of the Rambo legacy."

The last "Rambo" film came out in 2008.
