Chill Bro New York Rangers Fan Is Very Chill, Bro

"Benjamin Franklin is killing the game.”

There are only two ways to live your life: for today or for tomorrow. And one very chill ringside New York Rangers fan decided to live for the former on Friday.

Asked on live TV how much he paid for his seats to the Game 7 matchup between his Rangers and the Tampa Bay Lightning in Madison Square Garden, he enthusiastically responded: “My man, I paid forty. Five. Hundred. Dollars.” Then he did this:

Informed that people were willing to pay as much as $19,200 for his seat, which would have left him with a $14,700 profit, our chill bro hero stuttered for just a second.

“Yeah, I know…” he said, his voice trailing off for a few seconds as he presumably pictured an alternative life, one in which he was sitting not ringside in New York, but beachside in the Caribbean.

But no, he would not be deterred. He would come to his senses. He would say this: “That would have been cool, but you know what? I gotta see the Rangers win. I could have blown all that money on water. I don’t really drink alcohol, it’s cool.”

Then he reminded the world once more what he paid to see his Rangers fight for a chance to make it to the Stanley Cup Finals: “Four thousand. Five hundred dollars. Hundreds only. Benjamin Franklin is killing the game.”

The Rangers lost on Friday. Their season is now over.
