Rashida Jones, Carey Mulligan And More Turn Out For The Prabal Gurung For Target Launch Party (PHOTOS)

A-Listers Flocked To The Prabal Gurung For Target Launch Party

Although Fashion Week officially kicks off today, the launch party for Prabal Gurung's collection for Target last night had to be the unofficial start. Held at Pier 57 in New York City, fashion A-listers gathered to eat, drink and of course shop, shop, shop! The event was held in a concrete caisson, but the space was completely transformed into a modern-day carnival, with rides like merry-go-rounds, games, food carts (empanada anyone?) and of course, a private shopping area located in the back.

Waiters walked around with summer rolls, french fries and beverages, and the only thing going faster than the mini grilled cheese sandwiches were Prabal's dresses. The party was stocked with the collection's floral print tops, neon skirts and drool-worthy accessories, which all flew off the racks (we spotted a few people racking up totals in the thousands!)

We accidentally bumped into Olivia Thirlby (the face of the campaign) as we were in line for the fortune teller, while several other heavy-hitters made appearances like Rashida Jones, Elizabeth Olsen and Carey Mulligan. The highlight of the night, besides the s'mores (and the amazing floral skirt we scored), was the surprise performance by R&B artist Ne-Yo, who sang a few of his hits.

We left the event full, exhausted and with a slightly better wardrobe. And this is only the beginning of New York Fashion Week, guys. Let the parties, shows and free food begin!
