Read The Documents That Claim Jared Fogle Paid For 'Sexual Acts' With Minors

Fogle allegedly paid a 17-year-old girl for sex, and said he'd pay her to find him another underage girl.

WASHINGTON -- Federal prosecutors alleged in documents released Wednesday that former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle traveled to engage in "unlawful commercial sexual acts" with minors and possessed child pornography that he got from the former director of his charitable organization.

Josh Minkler, the federal prosecutor for Indiana’s Southern District, said in a press conference on Wednesday that Fogle has agreed to plead guilty to the charges and has admitted to participating in a scheme to exploit children.

He faces between five and 12 years in prison.

The Huffington Post obtained the documents detailing the allegations and charges against Fogle.

Based on the documents, 12 of the 14 victims in the case are minors who were secretly filmed by Russell Taylor, the former executive director of Fogle's foundation. Fogle allegedly received some of these videos and images. The other two victims are underage girls, whom Fogle allegedly traveled to have commercial sex with.

The documents detail Fogle meeting with one of those girls at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. In November 2012, he allegedly paid the girl, who was 17, to commit sexual acts and texted her the next day offering to pay her if she could find him another underage girl. He allegedly told her that the younger the girl, the better.

The prosecutors claim that Fogle "repeatedly made travel plans in order to have his business trips coincide with the pursuit of sexual acts."

The documents also allege that Taylor provided Fogle with pornography produced by others that involved children as young as six.

Under the plea agreement, Fogle is expected to pay $100,000 in restitution to each of the victims. Steven DeBrota, assistant U.S. attorney of the Southern District of Indiana, said on Wednesday that "everyone recognizes that he's wealthy, but today he's less wealthy."

In a statement released by her attorney Wednesday, Fogle's wife, Katie, said she is in the process of seeking a "dissolution of the marriage."
"I am extremely shocked and disappointed by the recent developments involving Jared," she added.
Jeremy Margolis, Fogle's attorney, said in a statement that "Jared understands that he has hurt innocent people, vulnerable people, and his family. He has expressed remorse to me and to his loved ones, and will, when given the opportunity, express that remorse to this court and to the people he has harmed. His intent is to spend the rest of his life making amends.”
