Optic of the day has King's Muslim fellow Congressman in tears? At best, GOP succeeds in muddying the waters. At worse, who's terrorizing who?

By way of the headscarf, the shoulder patch and the shimmering bar on the collar, the photo is most impressive in aligning the Muslim community with local law enforcement. As the L.A. Sheriff's testimony rebuts Muslim hysteria, what this united front emphasizes is just how divorced Capitol Hill is from the everyday world.
