'RHOC' Reunion: Gretchen Rossi Under Attack, Called Liar And Fake

It was Target: Gretchen Rossi on Part 2 of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" reunion special. At the heart of the collective attack against Gretchen was their belief that she was lying all the time. They also accused her of being fake on camera. WetPaint's Ryan Gajewski described the hour as "jaw-dropping."

The hardest blow came when the women said Gretchen orchestrated her elaborate proposal to her boyfriend, Slade, as a television stunt. This accusation brought Gretchen to tears ... or at least a close proximity to tears.

The Stir's Julie Ryan Evans thought those tears were as fake as everything else Gretchen's accusers were slinging her way. "Her eyes didn't seem to be even the slightest bit damp, but she moaned and made some crying-like noises for a bit. Her thick (THICK) mascara didn't even budge. It was painful to watch and so absolutely unconvincing it was comical," she wrote.

“I’m just, I’m just so sad," Gretchen said, dabbing her (dry?) eyes. "It took me so long to get to that point. We’ve been through so much and you guys have said so much stuff about us. And the one thing that I could’ve never imagined that you guys would say is that that was made up. And that hurts me more than, I think, than anything that anybody has ever said.”

After this meltdown, the other women clarified that they weren't saying that Gretchen and Slade's love was fake. They just didn't believe the proposal was "real." They questioned the timing of it.

The dramatic encounters continue next week on the final part of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" reunion, Monday at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
