We're all masters of manifestation. In fact, it's all we're ever doing. For example, if we think about chocolate, the thought may promote a happy feeling, which leads to the action of eating chocolate. The only difference between manifesting a choc-fest and a life-long dream is you absolutely know you can get the chocolate, because your mind tells you it's easy.

Becoming Aware Of What Manifesting Actually Is

Though I've certainly spent years seeking, studying and researching spirituality, awareness and personal development, everything I feel justified in sharing is based on my personal experiences. Knowing isn't an intellectual concept and it doesn't come from books or being able to parrot others. It comes from direct experience.

Before I knew what the word manifesting meant, I was aware of the powerful way in which my imagination turned into reality. I intrinsically understood that what I focused on, with intent and passion, came true in my life; whether it was something I wanted, or not... or both.

When I was a child, I saw a dance show in a shopping centre. I passionately wanted to be on that stage. This started an avalanche of thoughts and "daydreams," which resulted in a series of steps, which led to a cherished career as a performer.

I was committed to becoming a dancer and I trained for years, but most of my opportunities came completely out of the blue, in a synchronistic pattern I played no part in creating externally, via people I didn't know and circumstances I'd never even imagined.

I've even deliberately spent more than a year focusing on, intending and thereby manifesting a redundancy from a beloved job, down to a specific date. When I was intending it, I couldn't quite believe what I was doing. It was a "guilty wish" surrounded in emotion, in a world where so many are desperate for work.

Personally, I knew it would result in time and money to fulfill a dream, but I also knew I was asking for a possible sad scenario filled with risk that was, seemingly, rather selfish. But that is the two-edged sword of life. What I really wanted was to contribute to the world in a more meaningful way. My desire aligned with my heart and I committed to the intention, whole-heartedly.

I had no control over a large corporation making me redundant, I didn't self-sabotage my position, I had no knowledge of the steps involved and no initial clues it was likely to happen. It occurred two days after the date I'd focused on. I literally exploded with awe and gratitude, within the chaos that followed.

The same process keeps repeating, so that I can contribute purposefully, travel the globe, get paid for my passions, live by the ocean, hang out with a soul tribe of friends and generally spend my days spontaneously embracing the present moment. Meaning: I live exactly as I've always wanted to, with regard to fulfilling desires and lifestyle aspirations.

It doesn't mean life is all smooth sailing and roses. It doesn't mean no hard work, it doesn't mean I'm exempt from grief, sadness and anger and it doesn't mean that fulfilling our own desires is the only way to a meaningful life.

It means that deliberate manifestation is simply a tool we all own, that's worth learning how to use -- so we hit targets instead of our thumbs.

What Are The Secrets Of Manifesting What You Want?

There's really only one secret to manifesting; it is absolutely knowing that you have the power to choose your own thoughts and thereby create. All you're ever doing is creating. You have a thought, it's followed by a feeling, you act on it and therefore create -- even if it's just to make a cup of tea.

The problem is, it's easy to fall into the trap of being a "reactor" rather than the "creator" you are. When something happens in your world that you don't like, you have the chance to create or react. When you react, you give your power away to the situation and become an unwilling pawn in someone else's play. When you create, you arrange the situation so that it benefits yourself and those around you.

What Are The Specifics Of Manifesting?

Manifesting starts with nothing more than a thought. Each thought attracts a similar thought. When you do this consistently, you build momentum towards a feeling associated with those thoughts.

This feeling becomes so familiar that you actually experience emotions that are the same as if the thoughts were real life scenarios. You're led to take actions that align with the emotions. At this point, manifestation will occur, whether it's something you want... or not. This can feel like magic, because it is.

The key, is to remember that you're holding the wand, regardless of your current external circumstances. You always, always, have choices. The problem is, you may not like them, though they'll lead to your desired manifestation. I didn't like thinking about being made redundant, yet I very much desired the outcome. You may not like having to give up fried food, but you really want to increase your fitness. There is magic involved with manifesting, but it's your job to align with it first, via your choices.

Here's the catch. When external events, people and scenarios arise along the way, you very quickly realise you have no control over how your manifestations will occur. If you think this sounds like it directly contradicts your role as a creator... you're right! It's this very fact that can stop us from manifesting what we want.

What Helps You To Manifest Your Desires?

There's no doubt about it, mysterious factors surround the game of manifesting. Whether you want to call it universal flow, your higher self, angel wishes or fairy dust, you must step out of the way and allow the magic to happen.

This means, once you feel your emotions align with your desire, you keep them alive with your thoughts and actions... you don't try to control the outcome. Stop wishing, hoping, pushing, complaining and impatiently asking, "Why isn't it here yet?"

You have already created. You have already succeeded. All you need to do is stay on the path, go with the flow of whatever arises and allow it to come. If you do, you'll keep walking towards it, rather than stepping backwards into emotions that slow your progress.

How? Stay in the present moment, as much as possible, and look at your world with eyes full of gratitude. That's it. Even when life is awful, it's often a shattering of old ways to make room for a new manifestation, which is further reason to stay in gratitude. Don't let even an hour go by without deliberately noticing something to appreciate.

Lastly, think of manifesting like a night at the theatre. You find a show you can't wait to see, feel excited, get to the theatre and buy a ticket. You don't go inside and try to direct the action unfolding on the stage.

You simply sit back, relax and enjoy the show, allowing it to unfold before you. Then, you give it the standing ovation it deserves.
