20 Reasons We Need To Support Comprehensive Sex Ed

Sex ed in the U.S. is far from educational -- and it looks like we could learn a thing or two from Canada.

A new sex ed initiative, which will be implemented in September 2015 in Ontario, Canada, is creating a heated debate on social media after some parents and opponents spoke out against the progressive program. At various stages, students will learn about masturbation, gender identity, sexual orientation, sexual consent and contraception.

On Monday, Planned Parenthood Toronto tweeted out an image asking users to weigh in on why they #SupportSexEd.

Responses to the #SupportSexEd hashtag flooded in. As some highlight, open dialogue about sex and sexuality is beneficial to all -- but for many, it is critical.
