Rebecca Black Is The Fastest-Rising Google Search Term Of 2011

How Rebecca Black Beat Adele, Steve Jobs And Justin Bieber

Happy Friday, everyone! It's an especially exciting Friday for 14-year-old Rebecca Black, as Google announced yesterday in its Zeitgeist 2011 review that Rebecca won the top spot for fastest-rising search of the year.

Google's summary of the year's top search trends revealed that the YouTube sensation beat out Adele, Steve Jobs, Hurricane Irene, Osama bin Laden, and others for the title of number-one rising search term. And she's in good company -- Google's top 10 most popular people of the year included Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and Selena Gomez.
