The trailer for Rebel Wilson's new movie is here and she wants everyone, including One Direction, to know about it.
The Australian comedian basically took over the boy band's interview on "Ellen" to debut the trailer for "How to Be Single." At first, it seemed Wilson -- decked out in 1D merch -- was just there to express her love for the boys of 1D, but of course, she had an ulterior motive.
"So, why did you really come here?" host Ellen DeGeneres asked.
"Well, I am a massive fan, legit. But you guys were saying before you're all single, and I'm single, and I'm also starring in a new movie that I know these guys are really going to love called 'How to Be Single,'" she responded.
She added, "And so, while these guys are dropping their album, I'm going to drop the new trailer!"
Sorry 1D, clearly her trailer is more important than her love for you and your new album. You can check out the trailer below (it starts at the two-minute mark):
"How to Be Single" stars Wilson as Robin, a "fiercely independent" party girl who helps her friend Alice (Dakota Johnson) figure out how to deal with life as a single girl in New York City.
Wilson explained to Entertainment Weekly, "While my character is fiercely independent, Dakota’s character has just come out of a long-term relationship and is showing all the signs of codependency. Robin takes Alice under her wing, so to speak."
The film is directed by Christian Ditter and based on a book of the same name by Liz Tuccillo. The project, which comes out Feb. 12, also stars Damon Wayans Jr., Anders Holm and Alison Brie.
