Regis Philbin: 'I'm Not Accomplishing Anything'

Regis Philbin isn't loving everything about life after "Live!"

The beloved television host ended his tenure at the show after almost three decades in 2011. He recently told The New York Post that there are perks to not doing a daily show, but that the idea of returning to television also has its appeal.

"I do feel that I’m not doing everything I should," he admitted. "I’m not accomplishing anything."

Philbin made the comments when asked if he would consider returning to "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire." Meredith Vieira, who currently hosts the game show, announced Thursday that she is leaving "Millionaire" for expanded duties at NBC and other ventures. Philbin said that he "would have to think about" the prospect of hosting the show again.

He hosted "Millionaire" from its debut in 1999 to 2002. He walked away when the show went daily, recently explaining, "I told them back then: 'No, I can’t do it anymore.'"
