As a very busy professional in NYC, I am always looking for a great place to either get my hair blown out before an event or a fresh hairdo since I know I don’t have the time for a complicated cut or styling session every morning. The reality is that I want to look classy and put together, but also natural and effortless. The other reality is that I am always on the go; traveling often; workout (sweaty!) almost every day; and have to be either photo shoot/business meeting/date ready almost every day of the week. So, finding the right hairstyle and products to keep me going, my hair healthy, and styled so I can go from day to night with as little effort as possible is a daily goal of mine.

I checked out Arrojo Salon because I pass by it all of the time and had heard from friends that it was reliable and just good. I honestly truly love the cut and color I got there. As a entrepreneur and hustler in NYC, I wanted a hair style to match it. They gave me some great highlights with extra blonde in the front, that really made me excited for sun and spring! They also just cleaned up my hair with a solid cut so that I could continue to grow it long and keep it strong and healthy. Again, I didn’t want a cut that would be time consuming — and would be easy to wear down; thrown up in a messy bun; or given wavey curls for a night out.

Arrojo’s line of products really impressed me too so I got 3 different types. I can say that it’s important to deep condition the hair, weekly, and they have a shea based conditioner that has been good to my hair. I also some times dry my hair fast or curl it before going out, and I highly recommend getting a protective spray so that the heat doesn’t hurt your hair. I also think it’s super important to protect your hair color once you spend the money and time on getting it done, so a good quality shampoo that protects color treated hair is vital.

Those are my tips and tricks - hope you enjoy, and have a great Spring hair style ready to go. xo
