Remove Candle Wax From Glass Holders So You Can Use Them Again And Again

How Do You Remove Candle Wax From Glass Holders?

We have to admit: We love candles. They create such a great ambiance and can make your home smell terrific in seconds. The only problem is when the wick is gone, it's hard to remove the wax from those glass votives. It's a real bummer because you usually just end up throwing them away, when they could be used for so many things. Luckily, blogger "Aunt Peaches" found a great way to solve this problem.

First, use a knife to cut slits into the hardened wax. Then, pour boiling water into the holder. Next, let it cool for 15 minutes and then, remove the residue with your hand. Next, fill the votive agin with warm water and let it sit for five minutes. Finally, dump the water and wipe the inside clean with a paper towel.

What you'll have after this is a clean jar for storing goodies or to help with craft projects. Also, you'll avoid having too much wax go down your drain, which can cause plumbing problems.
