Remove Odors From Bottles With A Popular Condiment

And it has nothing to do with eating.

There are so many great ways you can repurpose old bottles -- especially if they're pretty. You can turn them into vases or paint them for cute decor. But if you really want to get the most out of these containers, you've got to get the stench of the previous substances out. Luckily Life Hackery found a great way to remove odors from bottles with a very popular condiment.

Simply mix a teaspoon of mustard and hot water together in the bottle. Then, shake the solution well and rinse out the container. The site says the smell should be gone almost immediately. But that's not the only thing mustard can help deodorize. Instructables recommends mixing one cup of dry mustard in three gallons of water to remove skunk smells from a car.

Pretty cool, huh? We had no idea mustard was such a powerful agent. Plus this is a natural way to eliminate odors and help you recycle those old bottles in a really unique way.
