Remy Ma Opens Up About Her Miscarriage In Emotional Video

She also talked about the experience on the most recent episode of "Love and Hip-Hop."

On Monday night’s episode of VH1’s “ Love and Hip-Hop,” rapper Remy Ma shared that she had an ectopic pregnancy, which resulted in a miscarriage. She was rushed into emergency surgery, and as a result, physicians told her that she would not be able to deliver a baby naturally.

The 36-year-old and her husband Papoose, who each have a child from previous relationships, discussed having their first child together throughout the most recent two seasons of “Love and Hip-Hop.”

“I promised my husband that I would give him the child that he’s been asking me for since almost the day he met me,” Remy said during Monday’s episode as she held tears back. “And I can’t do that any more. I can’t.”

On Monday, Remy also posted an Instagram video from her hospital bed. She said had already started narrowing down names and preparing a nursery for the baby she thought she would be having.

“I never for one second thought that it would end like this, with me in the hospital, with stitches in my stomach and no baby,” she said in the video.

In the Instagram post’s caption, she wrote that she and Pap will try to conceive again using in vitro fertilization. She also revealed that she was reluctant to share her experience publicly, but that Papoose persuaded her to do it in order to show other women who have had a miscarriage that they are not alone.

“I was totally against it but in a fit of crying @papoosepapoose said ‘you are not the only one going thru this, we will get thr[ough] it,’” she wrote. “Made me realize how many women like myself experience the same thing and don’t have a strong partner by their side to say it will be alright. So I’m here to tell anyone going through a similar situation that it is not over and God has the last say so.”
