LAS VEGAS - At last year's CES, advertising on Internet-connect TV's was presented as an emerging opportunity. This year, major brands including American Express, are proving viability of the new medium, says Ed Haslam, SVP for Marketing at YuMe, the video advertising technology provider.

Regarding some industry concerns about a lack of standardization around the emerging medium, Haslam says the industry is working collaborately on and standards.
