Repurposing Idea Prevents A Garbage Leak Mess In Your Trashcan

We'll take all the help we can get.

Taking out the trash isn't exactly a glamorous job. Especially if your garbage bag has a leak, covering the bottom of your pail with a sticky mess. And while you can't always prevent nasty tears in these sacks, The Frugal Path has found a great repurposing idea that will make the clean up process a little easier.

Simply line the bottom of the trashcan with old newspaper. The paper will absorb smells and any liquid that has seeped out of the bag. Make-Stuff.com has also recommended this tip for life's little messes. Or if you happen to have a furry four-legged friend, Wise Bread suggests using a few tablespoons of kitty litter to do the trick.

Both of these ideas are a great way to use everyday household items in a new purposeful way. Plus, we totally love the fact that this makes taking out the garbage a little less dreadful.
