I've never played golf. It's probably because I'm a terrible miniature golfer and have really poor coordination. Anyway, I've somehow accumulated way too many golf balls over the years and I know I'm not the only one. So what do you do with all of them? Here are some of our favorite ideas.

You can use the brightly colored golf balls (like the ones from the a miniature golf course) to fill a vase or hurricane lamp. It's a great way to add some color to a dull room's decor. And don't worry, you can always take them out easily the next time you feel like swinging the golf club.

A bunch of golf balls, a hot glue gun and some random crafting accessories can provide hours of fun for kids to make golf ball animals. Here are some instructions on how to make a dog that resembles a beloved comic strip critter, but the sky is the limit if you are a more creative-minded type.

With the holidays rapidly approaching, you can make some snowman ornaments with white golf balls. Just glue them together, either two or three high. Decorate their coal faces with a magic marker and you can add small accessories with fabric scraps like a hat or scarf for some winter fun. You can also add personalized touches depending on the recipient, including a small surfboard or baseball bat.

Can't find the plug? You can block the drain of most household sinks with a golf ball because the drain pipe is usually the same diameter. Just place the golf ball in your drain and it will hold the water back. (But first make sure the drain is smaller than the ball; you don't want to explain to a plumber why there is a golf ball stuck in your drain!)

Madigan Made took a bunch of golf balls, an old frame and some metallic spray paint to make this really cool wall art. The combination of the shininess and the texture of the sporting goods make an interesting statement piece.
