Young Woman Reveals How She And Her Twin Brother Were Rescued From Abusive Adoptive Parents

After years of intense physical and emotional abuse at the hands of their adoptive parents, Christa and her twin brother were rescued from the home of Jeff and Sandra Weller.

Now, for the first time since Jeff and Sandra were each sentenced to 20 years in prison for abusing their children, Christa is speaking out about what it was like living inside the Wellers’ upscale, suburban home in Washington -- and the events that led to their eventual rescue.

In her exclusive interview with Dr. Phil, Christa says Sandra had been taking her and her twin brother to therapy, but she would tell the children what to say ahead of time.

“She always coached us,” Christa, now 20, says. “There was pretty much not a day that went by that we were going to therapy that she wouldn’t coach us.”

Christa, who said she believes Sandra took the children to therapy to “make herself look good,” eventually left a note for her therapist describing the abuse.

In the video above, hear how Christa snuck the note to the therapist and read what she wrote in that note.
