Restore Our Future Puts $2.1 Million Into Pennsylvania

Pro-Mitt Romney super PAC Restore Our Future on Tuesday will begin airing $2.1 million in ads in every Pennsylvania market, a sign Republicans see the state as within reach going into the final sprint of the campaign.

Politco first reported the ad buy on Monday.

The ad, "New Normal," says that under President Barack Obama, "our children will grow up under the weight of crushing debt, in a world where America is no longer the leader."

"And we're told we're going forward," the ad continues, referring to Obama's campaign slogan.

Americans for Job Security, another Republican PAC, is also airing ads in Pennsylvania, putting up $1.1 million worth of spots in the Philadelphia market.

Politics PA reported Monday that no GOP super PAC has advertised in the state since September.

HuffPost Pollster's poll tracker estimate shows Obama maintaining his lead in Pennsylvania at 49.6 percent, while Romney is at 44.1 percent.

UPDATE: 11:44 a.m. -- Obama campaign manager Jim Messina told reporters on a conference call Monday that the Obama campaign will air ads in Pennsylvania in response to the Restore Our Future ad.

Sam Stein contributed reporting.
