'Revenge': 5 Things You Didn't Know About Latina Star Madeleine Stowe

Madeleine Stowe: 5 Things You Didn't Know About The 'Revenge' Star

ABC’s addictive, soapy, sexy series “Revenge” returns tonight at 10/9c, and we're excited to see what our favorite villain Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) has in store for Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) and the other residents of The Hamptons!

In honor of tonight's sure-to-be scandalous episode, here are five things you didn't know about Madeleine Stowe, the Latina star of ABC's "Revenge!"

1). She Gives Back: "I've been doing work with an organization that serves 900,000 people [called Artists for Peace and Justice]," Stowe told The Huffington Post in January. "We've built the first free secondary school in Haiti and we're going to have 3,000 pupils there. It's the vision of a doctor who is a complete bad-ass Catholic priest [The Rev. Richard "Rick" Frechette]. I'm very devoted to them and it's the part of my life that fulfills me," she said.

2). She's A Golden Globe Nominee: Although she's been acting for more than 30 years, Stowe received her first Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Drama Series last year for her work as "The Queen of the Hamptons" (Victoria Grayson) on "Revenge."

3). She Once Posed As A Reporter: According to WetPaint.com, before she became famous, Stowe pretended to be a reporter just so she could meet John Travolta. (Stowe starred opposite Travolta years later in the film "The General's Daughter" (1999).

4). She's Latina! While her father is British, Stowe tells UsMagazine.com that she's also "half Costa-Rican."

5). She's Not A Girly-Girl: Stowe recently told UsMagazine.com: "I hate girlie talk. If I hear someone whine about men, it'll drive me out into the open." She added: "I prefer the company of men to women."
