Prepare your palates for liquid nitrogen and molecular gastronomy. Richard Blais might be coming to town.
The "Top Chef All-Stars" winner, author and science-inspired foodie is rumored to be opening a restaurant in the Bay Area. Recent reports show the cheflebrity is even house hunting nearby.

Blais is nothing if not already very busy. He currently owns two restaurants in Atlanta, the Spence and Flip Burger Boutique chain, and he's on tour promoting his new cookbook. In his spare time, he hosts a YouTube digital show called Burger Lab.
Moving across the country isn't a far-fetched idea. Blais got his start at Bay Area establishments like Chez Panisse and The French Laundry. In a recent interview with Zagat, he confessed his love for the West Coast when asked about bringing his businesses elsewhere.
"I wouldn't necessarily expand a concept that we have already, but there are some places that I certainly love," Blais told Zagat. "I also have a strong passion for anything up and down the West Coast, San Diego all the way up to Seattle. "
The TV star would be in good company if he set up shop in San Francisco. We rounded up some of the "Top Chef" alums with restaurants in the Bay Area below:
