Richard Deitsch, Sports Illustrated Reporter, Asks Twitter Followers To Share The Best Moments Of Their Lives (TWEETS)

LOOK: Life's Most Beautiful Moments Captured

Do you have a photo of the best moment of your life?

Last week, Sports Illustrated writer Richard Deitsch asked this simple question of his Twitter followers and was met with an outpouring of intimate and moving photos.

Deitsch explained that he was inspired by a photo of sportscaster Steve Bennett celebrating with his family after his younger brother helped win the NCAA hockey championship following an extended stay in the hospital.

Story continues after Tweet.

"I thought to myself how remarkable it was to have an image of what was clearly one of the best moments of Steven's life," Deitsch told CNN. "I wondered: How many others have a similar image? So I took to Twitter and asked. I could never have expected what came next."

According to the Daily Mail, more than 200 of Deitsch's 87,000 plus followers contributed their own moments, from sports victories to weddings to proposals to their children's first minutes of life.

Here are just a few of the responses he received:
