Richard Grenell's Resignation Shows Mitt Romney's Unfit To Be President: Anti-Gay Pundit Bryan Fischer

Anti-Gay Pundit: Grenell's Resignation Shows Romney 'Can Be Pushed Around By A Yokel' Like Me

It looks like Bryan Fischer's digs at Richard Grenell, and the Romney campaign that backed him, just won't stop.

The conservative evangelist took to his radio show once again, but this time, he argues that Mitt Romney is unfit to be U.S. president because he's proven that he "can be pushed around by a yokel," Right Wing Watch is reporting.

Fischer argues, "If Mitt Romney can be pushed around, intimidated, coerced, coopted by a conservative radio talk show host in Middle America, then how is he going to stand up to the Chinese? How is he going to stand up to Putin?"

Though Romney has been quoted as saying he did not want Grenell, who is openly gay, to resign, Fischer continues, "He wanted this guy gone because there was not one word of defense, not a peep."

Previously, the American Family Association (AFA) radio host called the stepping down of Romney's national security and foreign policy spokesman less than two weeks after his initial appointment a "huge win," noting that the GOP candidate "wouldn't make the same mistake" again by appointing another openly gay man to his administration. "There is no way in the world that Mitt Romney is going to put a homosexual activist in any position of importance in his campaign."

In previous weeks, Fischer slammed Romney's decision to appoint Grenell. Describing Grenell as "out, loud and proud homosexual," Fischer noted, "What gays want is...they don't want the rights, they want the title...they are not about commitment. Homosexuals are about short-lived relationships and frequent anonymous sexual encounters...that becomes a significant issue when we're talking about pointing someone to a post as sensitive as national security and foreign policy."
