But don't worry: He's reportedly already doing better.

Richard Simmons was hospitalized Monday in California as a result of “severe indigestion,” manager Michael Catalano told ABC News.

“After a few days of battling severe indigestion and discomfort while eating, we agreed it was best for him to seek treatment,” Catalano said.

Simmons was hospitalized at an “undisclosed location,” but sources told TMZ that it wasn’t so serious as to require an ambulance to come pick him up from his home. Instead, his team drove him.

“He’s already feeling better and is expected to make a full recovery,” Catalano said.

Simmons was hospitalized last summer as well, because of what he said was “dehydration.” At the time, his erratic behavior caused his caretaker to call 911.

The fitness guru, once one of the most visible members of the entertainment industry, has recently become a source of intense interest due to his decision to remove himself from public view.

That interest was only amplified in February with the release of “Missing Richard Simmons,” a podcast that garnered both praise and criticism for trying to figure out what happened to the beloved figure.

But after so many years in the spotlight, Simmons was “ready to quiet down,” Catalano said last month.

“It doesn’t mean he’s done, but for now, he’s enjoying the time away from the public,” the manager said.

Earlier this month, Simmons reportedly signed a merchandising, endorsement and licensing deal that could pull him back into the spotlight.
