Richard Wolffe To Write Another Obama Book, Leave Public Strategies

Richard Wolffe is leaving Washington public affairs firm Public Strategies to write another book about Obama, the Washington Post's Reliable Source reports.

Wolffe, who left Newsweek earlier this year to join Public Strategies, previously wrote a book on the Obama campaign, Renegade and began shopping a book on the Obama White House over the summer.

His relationship with Public Strategies was seen as a conflict of interest with his work at MSNBC, where he is a political analyst. In August, Keith Olbermann said Wolffe would not be welcome on his show until the conflict was sorted out; he returned to the program in October, with disclosure.

"I have nothing but good things to say about [Public Strategies], but the chance of writing a White House book was the opportunity of a lifetime," Wolffe told the Washington Post.
