Rick Perry Heckled Over Health Care

Rick Perry Heckled

Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) was interrupted Wednesday while giving a speech on health care at an Austin hotel.

One heckler repeatedly called on Perry to "expand Texas health care," according to the Texas Tribune and KWTX.

"Expand Texas health care... I’ve got that down," Perry said.

When a second heckler interrupted Perry, the former Republican presidential hopeful had a more stern response.

“I’m going to ask you to sit down,” Perry said, the Tribune reports.

According to KWTX, Perry "clapped his hands in exasperation" at one point before offering to debate the hecklers at a later time.

This isn't the first time Perry's been heckled over Medicaid expansion. During a February 2013 appearance by Perry in Washington, D.C., protesters shouted "Rick, Rick you make me sick!" and "you will never be president."
