Ridge: Security worked for D.C. intrusion

Former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge praised security officials Thursday for quickly assessing the situation as a lost pilot flew into restricted air space prompting building evacuations throughout Washington.

"It was a successful intervention by the Department of Homeland Security, by the Department of Defense," Ridge said about Wednesday's incident on NBC's "Today" show. "They saw it was a Cessna, saw it was a single-engine plane and they took care of it."
