The Currys are back.
One day after Steph Curry’s record-breaking return from injury in Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals, he broke another record, becoming the first NBA player to be unanimously voted MVP.
But even with his stellar performance on Monday and MVP honor for the second year in a row, there was still something missing from the Curry equation.
On Tuesday, the final piece fell into place: Curry’s daughter Riley upstaging her dad.
The charming 3-year-old became a sensation of the Warriors 2015 championship run, outshining her father at games and press conferences. But she hasn’t been as prominent this season.
At Curry’s MVP acceptance press conference on Tuesday, Riley returned. As her father was talking to the blood-thirsty press, Curry patrolled the perimeter, warning reporters that she had her eyes on them. No one got out of line.
