'River Monsters': Jeremy Wade Makes A Dangerous Mistake Hunting The Asian Slayer Fish (VIDEO)

'River Monsters': Jeremy Wade Is Dangerously Careless

"River Monsters" (Sun., 10 p.m. ET on Animal Planet) host, biologist and extreme angler Jeremy Wade travels the world looking for man-eating freshwater fish.

On Sunday night's episode he was in India, investigating a spate of grisly attacks in the Himalayas region. Frustrated by his lack of success in catching the river monster known as the Asian Slayer, Wade became cavalier.

In a move that could have cost him his life he got into the river to gather his gear before realizing that he was putting his feet perilously close to where the fish may have been lurking.

Wade's adventures continue each week on "River Monsters," Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on Animal Planet.
