'Rizzoli & Isles': Lee Thompson Young Tribute In Closing Moments (VIDEO)

'Rizzoli & Isles' Honors Lee Thompson Young With Tribute

"Rizzoli & Isles" paid tribute to one of its own this week after the tragic death of Lee Thompson Young. The 29-year-old actor, who played Detective Barry Frost on the series, committed suicide in his Los Angeles home. His body was discovered Monday morning.

On Tuesday night, the newest episode of his hit show paid tribute to him by dedicating the episode to him. A title card was put on the screen, displaying the words, "In Loving Memory of Lee Thompson Young 1984-2013." Two short and silent clips of Lee from the show were played, and then the screen faded to black.

The moment came at the end of the episode, which featured Young in his regular role. TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich felt this was a fitting way to deal with the tragedy. What's uncertain still is how the show will deal with his passing within the narrative.

'Rizzoli & Isles" was still in production on its current fourth season when the actor took his life, according to Deadline. Production has since been halted, giving the cast and crew time to grieve, as well as time to figure out the proper send-off for Young's Detective Frost.

And the show will carry on, having already been renewed for a fifth season last week. For now, "Rizzoli & Isles" continues on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on TNT.
