Rob Lowe Not Replacing Charlie Sheen On 'Two And A Half Men,' Says 'Parks And Recs,' Exec

Charlie Sheen's Wish Denied!

Sorry, Charlie. Lowe won't go. No matter how beautiful you say he is.

That was the message from Michael Schur, executive producer of NBC's "Parks and Recreation," on Wednesday night when asked during a panel at Paleyfest whether Lowe would replace Sheen on "Two and a Half Men." Lowe is currently a regular cast member of the NBC comedy, and Schur said it's going to stay that way.

It was reported earlier in the week that CBS was reaching out to Lowe to star in a reworked version of its top show, something Sheen himself endorsed on Wednesday.

"He's a buddy of mine, he's a beautiful man, a brilliant actor, and I hope he does it and kicks its ass because I still get [paid]," Sheen told K-Earth 101, a radio station in Los Angeles.

All for naught, Schur said.

Saying there was no truth to the speculation, Schur explained, "The Internet lit a match and set itself on fire."

Sounds slightly like Sheen and his career.
