Robert De Niro Film To Benefit Homeless Elderly

Robert DeNiro's latest film, "Being Flynn" doesn't just address big issues -- it's doing something to make a difference.

Based on Nick Flynn's memoir "Another Bullshit Night In Suck City," the movie details Flynn's strained relationship with his father, Jonathan, (played by DeNiro) who spent years living on the streets of Boston. To help those who continue to face homelessness, 100 percent of the ticket sales for the March 7 premiere will benefit Boston Medical Center's Elders Living At Home Program, the agency that gave Jonathan Flynn a place to stay, according to a press release.

The Elders Living At Home Program, which has spent the last 25 years helping elderly people living on the streets, has found housing for 2,500 people in need MySouthEnd.com reports.

"It has been such a privilege to serve so many remarkable and inspiring elders over the years," Eileen O’Brien, director of ELAHP, told the news source. "Most of the folks we work with have little reason to feel hopeful, yet they continue to work toward better lives for themselves. We get to see incredible transformations each year. Our clients are my heroes."
