Robert Garrigus Eagle: Golfer Sinks Long Eagle During Open Championship (VIDEO)

WATCH: U.S. Golfer Sinks Long, Long Eagle Putt

Robert Garrigus may not make the cut at the 2013 Open Championship but he managed to deliver one of the most impressive shots at Muirfield before wrapping up his round on Friday.

After blasting a long 400-yard drive off the tee on the par-4 15th hole, the 32-year-old American pulled out his putter even though he was still on the fairway. From approximately 100 feet away, according to Mike Tirico of ESPN, Garrigus knocked the ball into the hole for an incredible eagle. No other player has recorded a better score on the 15th hole.

Unfortunately, Garrigus needed a few more of those as he finished the second round at 11-over par overall. He is projected to miss the cut.
