Robin Roberts' MDS Update: 'My Body Is So Weak'

'My Body Is So Weak'

Robin Roberts updated fans on her treatment on Tuesday morning, describing her weakened physical condition.

"The start of last week went well but the daily chemo/treatment caught up to me by the weekend," she wrote in a post for "Good Morning America." "My body is so weak but not my mind. YOU give me the courage to keep going."

Tuesday will be her last day of chemotherapy before she receives her bone marrow transplant on Thursday, she revealed. Roberts has been in the hospital since last Monday preparing for the procedure.

She was recently diagnosed with MDS, a rare blood and bone marrow condition, after her battle with breast cancer. Roberts will receive a transplant from her sister Sally. Her treatment is expected to last several months, according to medical experts.
