Meet NASA's New Robot, 'RoboSimian' (VIDEO)

WATCH: NASA's New Robot Shows Its Versatility

NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory has released video of the latest addition to its growing line-up of robots, RoboSimian!

Nicknamed "Clyde," the odd-looking bot was unveiled in December at the DARPA Robotics Challenge, where he demonstrated "four general-purpose limbs and hands capable of both mobility and manipulation," and came in fifth place out of 16 entries.

See how he fares in disaster-response situations in the clip below from JPL. He isn't quite as fearsome as PETMAN, but he does offer some remarkably apelike moves.
