He gets 10 out of 10 for effort. But the launch of this little boy's toy rocket didn't exactly go to plan.
The kid excitedly runs down a woodland road towards the gadget in video posted online.
He leaps up into the air and lands with both feet firmly on the launch pad.
However, the plastic projectile doesn't have the blast off he expected. It lifts just 3 feet into the air before plummeting back down to the ground.
The boy, perhaps hoping his rocket was heading to space, can't contain his disappointment.
His shoulders hunch up and he looks dejectedly at his toy before the clip cuts out. It's not known exactly when or where the footage was filmed, but it's going viral on YouTube over the weekend.
One commenter said the youngster shouldn't feel disheartened, predicting that with his determination, "He's going to do big things."
He could even be the next Elon Musk, who proved this month how difficult it was to launch and land a rocket.
