More than one year after Elton John broke the news about "Rocketman," an upcoming biopic about the famed singer, the film has found a director. Deadline.com reports that Michael Gracey has signed on to lead "Rocketman."

Gracey, who has largely worked on commercials in the past, is also leading the upcoming film about P.T. Barnum, "The Greatest Showman on Earth." His feature credits include working in the visual effects department on the 2003 Heath Ledger film "Ned Kelly."

With Gracey on board, who will play the Rocketman?

"Number one on my wish list is Justin Timberlake, because he played me before," John said last year.

Timberlake recently did his best Elton when hosting "Saturday Night Live" earlier this month. The singer and actor donned John's signature sunglasses and sparkly suit, and affected his accent for a performance of "Candle in the Wind."

"It's going to be a surreal look at my life, and not just a factual look at my life, more in the manner of a "Moulin Rouge!" John told the Los Angeles Times last January. "We have a director on board, and then it's just going to be a matter of getting the script exactly the way we want it."
